Craft lab
Six techniques. One badge. Try each one.
Every technique below is a bench you can put your hands on — press, pour, polish, etch, print and plate the same Aumetta mark, and see exactly what each process leaves on the metal.
Die struck
Steel die, hydraulic press, bare metal.
Your artwork is milled into a steel die and struck into brass or iron under hydraulic pressure. Raised and recessed metal, no colour — the classic coin and insignia finish.
Soft enamel
Colour poured into the recesses, metal lines left standing.
Struck lines hold recessed enamel; the metal ridges stay raised. Textured to the touch, vivid, and the most popular pin finish.
Hard enamel
Over-filled, then polished flush and glassy.
Enamel is filled above the metal, cured and stone-polished flat until colour and lines sit on one smooth, jewelry-grade surface that will not snag a jacket.

Die casting
Molten zinc alloy, full 3D under pressure.
Molten zinc alloy fills a mold under pressure — for full 3D shapes, cut-outs and sculptural detail that striking cannot reach.
Photo etching
Light, film, acid — hairline detail on thin metal.
Artwork is exposed onto a resist through a film, then acid eats away everything unprotected. The technique for intricate crests, filigree and fine text.

Screen printing
Multi-colour artwork, sealed under epoxy.
Full-colour artwork printed directly on smooth metal and sealed under a clear epoxy dome — gradients, photos and the tiniest logos, no recesses needed.
Plating lab
Six finishes. Pick one, or two.
Every piece runs through the plating bath last. Choose a finish for the whole badge, split raised and recessed areas in two tones — or upload your own logo and see it plated.
